How it all started

It began at the age of 13 where my disabled daughter could not attend school due to her disability.

What I did to try to overcome it

I took it up with the school, then the local authority, finally the ombudsman.

How it made me feel

Angry, in a constant state of stress. Unheard and still to this day.

The outcome

I sued them. My child is now getting an education at her age level on an EHCP.

Final thoughts

I still today have to continually chase her education. I have even being told to shut up by a senior council representative. There is no support benefit after 20 for people in education even though the EHCP/ Statement is up to 25.
